Wow, That is a lovely colour, easily better than Carbon Black. That's why Ruby Black was a £1000 option over and above standard metallic on the X5.

Looks fab! I have a F02 miniature in Ruby Black (which are painted using the same factory paint) and the closer you get to it, the more you see the tiny crystals like colours in it. Amazing!

Pete, shame you are leaving the 6 series fold so soon. I got my 640 the same time as you. In France at the moment having driven 800 miles in it, the perfect car for the job. Good luck with the X5

Peter looks a lovely car and things have worked out good for you. The 35d engine is well worth getting and the fact the gravel rash is sorted is great.
Looking forward to your own pics. I also would be interested in your figures as I haven't used the PCP route yet but probably will next time. |

Got an X5 on the drive at last!
A few crap pictures below, but it is a beauty. I love the paint and the interior is very light, but with black carpets - spot on. Nice drive back down the M6 from Carlisle. A big thumbs up to Lloyd BMW Carlisle, great customer service and getting the car turned around in a day is highly commendable. Lovely bottle of Merlot in a presentation box too! Car is fabulous condition as you would expect for a car which has only done 18000 miles. Another HUGE bonus is that the car has a service pack on it until May 2015 as well that wasn't picked up by the salesman until this morning! Rear camera with top view is very good too. I agree things happen for a reason....wife is always saying that. Am sure she will like it when she gets home from work tonight. Only slight disappointment is that I have to go to LLoyd Blackpool next saturday to have the spare key reprogrammed - no great shakes really and an excuse to take it out if i can get the keys off the wife. Looks really nice mate.
I am a year into my '3 years off new cars' that I set myself while daughter i at Uni. I had decided last week I will never buy anything over £5k again, and then I see threads like this and start scouring autotrader. You bugger!! |

Looks awesome Pete, best colour combo I have see and for that money you cannot argue. Cannot see the depreciation being high on it either.

A beauty. That service pack is a real bonus, it is given BMW's rates anyhow!

Thanks all. Mrs is happy with it, which means that I will have to get special written permission to drive it. I don't think it will stay looking this good for long.....

Well, it's a bit of a success at home, mrs has claimed the X5 for herself, very little chance I will get to drive it. I have to share the Fiesta with my daughter if I need a car at the weekends. It seems to have been well received. She couldn't give a s*** about the 640d, the 911, 335d that have all gone before, a Chelsea tractor with her dogs in the back and she's happy!
