I removed the flaps and the spindle, the motor and linkage assemble are the “plug”
Will make sense once you take them off. The spindle can be tricky to get out, it’s square shaped. |

Thanks for you're response that's much clear now, have you had any downsides or upsides of doing them? Assuming you changed the intake manifold seal aswell? Do you still get an error when scanning the car with a diagnostic machine? Since they are no longer in place? Appreciate your response it's been a massive help!

the stored code was there until i cleared it, then it never came back, the DME thinks it moving the swirl flaps and the motor still moves (i guess) but because it can move without restriction its happy and the car is non the wiser to it |
