Guys,
Here is the link that has more info on the bulb (Lci Halo) http://www.donsbulbs.com/cgi-bin/r/b...Cba9s~ece.html Marc - can you make your Lux 5 with H8 type connector to draw 10W power if you can then i'm willing to test it on my LCI Xenon retrofit ! Many Thanks, /A |

hey guys,
new finding I attempted to remove the bulb but not sucessful first I managed to remove the front chrome piece that holds the glass there were 4 clips to unhook. once its removed, the bulb does not come out from the front. besides it is too small to grab onto the bulb with your fingers the bulb housing does not provide enough room to fit 2 little fingers so definitely, cannot force it to go I try chip off the 2 heat welted taps on the side but they are hard to do either. I need a dremo or something like that which I don't have. sounds like to remove the bulb, you have to go from behind.

that is the one, exactly the same. no wonder can't take it out from the front, there are 2 notches on the bottom of the bulb.

Okay so I didn't read all that you guys were working on but here is my 2 cent ...
1. With all the money, time and work you guys are doing you could have bought a set of RD LEDs from the for sale thread and have been done with this. 2. Even if you go to a glass shop to have a them cut you a tinted glass in the size that you need, the stock bulb is not bright enough to reflect both off the glass and the angel eye tubes. 3. You guys will be able to get to the stock bulb out but it will be no good after you break into it. 4. You would really have to modify the back of the housing in order to fit a LUX LED in there, Not even the PIAA LEDs fit! Both the LUX and the PIAA stick out to far to where it would hit the housing cover. Quote:
1. YES 2. YES, I got mine from Long Tran (LTBMW) 3. YES a local hardware store should have them 4. Not that I can remember ... I remember taking them off once then not remembering what went where so I just guessed and it worked. 5. No (same as above) Best of luck to you guys Oh and here is a clear picture of the front and back of both the stock bulb and the RD LEDs ... This may clear the picture for you guys: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=239193 |

I've been working with alanchan on getting pics on what the oem looiks like. i'm about 99% sure that LUX 5.0 will work with just a tiny modification to the LUX unit, No changes will be made to the Headlight itself.
