Ok can someone explain something to me please.
He said he got 2 pairs (4 bulbs). Is that 2 on each side 1 for each ring?
And what about the actual xenon headlight i mean if you are going to change the color of the angel eyes then shoudn't you change the color temperature of the xenon as well say 6000 or 8000 d1s bulbs. Just wondering because i would suppose the color difference would look bad...
Any way to get that bulb on the interior ring off?
And basically just get both rings only to light up?
I think it would look much better...
Can someone tell me if i'm getting anything wrong here.
Thank you

Ok I Reread the thread and found one answer...
Basically he got 2 pairs (4 bulbs) 1 set for the angels and one set for the fogs.
I suppose then that one single h8 bulb powers the 2 rings and the inside bulb in the second ring...
Now what about my other questions... Didn't find any answers for those.
Don't mean to be annoying or anything it's just that this is really exciting because it was the absolute fist mod i wanted to do on my car when i got it and someone finally did it...
And i'm not very knowledgable with all the technical stuff.
So please forgive me if i've missed or misunderstood something or if my questions seem dumb.
Thank you

1 bulb, per headlight, lights up the 2 angel eye rings. the inner angel eyes is always brighter on the e92 headlight. the interior ring bulb is not on, it "looks" like its on because of the brightness caused by the angel eyes bulb and is merely reflecting the light from its lens or chrome body; it is unavoidable due to the design of the e92.

changing the xenon color - that is just personal taste, if u scroll back and look at the new pics he posted, the color matches pretty well. some people prefer the rings to be bluer than the actual xenons, imo anything looks better than the yellow rings.

most of these things are just intuitive (i dont even have an e92), but in fact, all your questions have been answered in other threads regarding the e92 angel eyes issue. i think u should stay cool til ur car is actuall delievered, and once u get ur hands on it, most of your curiousities will be answered by themselves

and ur lucky that for the e92 the angel eyes are so easy to change, you will have a very simple and rewarding first mod.

I want to change to 6000K d1s.. but still have not fig out how to get to the bulb yet...

now as far as Angel eyes.... 1 Bulb per side.. the bulb is actually sit behind the inner side.. so the inner ring is always brighter.

the H8 bulb will shine through an clear plasic tube.. that came from the outter ring.... that cause the light to be reflect to the outter ring.. but dimmer then the inner ring..

THis Mod does have a caution.. I drove to car today to drop off a set of D2R bulb to a buyer.. at one point the damn warning light did came up... but then it disappear in 3 min.. ... I check the computer. and did get a check bulb sign... shut the engine off.. start the car again.. and the sign did not reappear... not too sure if its the fog light that cause it or the angel. But I don't have the warning light after restart the car.. and check the computer.. no warning..

don't know what happen cause that 3 min warning then disappear..

Great post! I was hoping that you would be able to simply replace the bulb and you just confirmed that. This is great news.

i dont know what size they are. it could be a 15t or 20t. i have never owned a set of torque wrench before, now that i own bmw, a set of torque wrench is needed. a majority of the screws they use are torque screws. you can access them behind the fender well.

Warning light again.... Went out to shopping.. and turn on the key.. Sht.. damn warning light again... bulb out... pull the car over to the parking lot.. and took a look in the front..

 Damn one of the new H8 bulb is not lite.. so the bulb is actually not working.

I think i have a defect bulb.. when I receive the bulb.. I notice one of them was not in the holder... that is suppose to be.. I guess shipping and bump.. made light element loose... I will contact the seller to get it replace it...

That was long....Maybe he didn't use the 35 watt version, that would explain the error, and them being too dim, as he stated. If it was a 55 or 65 watt, that would be the reason. Not enough juice to light them correctly, and would cause an error.

I just order some H8 zenon match bulbs from Hoen-usa.com
I used them for my fogs on my M3 and they looked great
I'll post some pics by the end of the week once I get the bulbs.

How much did those run? How many did you get? And how long can we expect the bulbs to last? I did a simple search on e-Bay for H8 bulbs, and they ranged in price from around $7 to as high as $60 a piece. What would cause this large difference in price? Just curious....

+1 on the daytime pics--how they look in daylight is probably going to seal the deal for me.
