is date logging necessary?

I am getting the cobb ap tune tomorrow, I am just wondering if the date logging stuff is necessary. I hae no idea how to do this or what any of the information will mean...

Yes. Running tune only places pretty modest demands on the motor, but regardless you should log from time to time to ensure things are running well. Search "datalogging with cobb".

Nope, not necessary at all. Just run the most aggressive tune you can right out of the gate; if the car knocks and/or bucks, that means you're doing it right.

So long as you can remember the names of all the persons with whom you've gone out, date logging is unecessary

Dude I understand you're new at this but you need to start searching and stop
starting new threads with stuff like this. If you can't answer this question yourself you might not be ready to tune your vehicle at this point.

It's a good idea to know how your vehicle is performing.

Even if you don't know what your looking for there is plenty of information available here to get you educated on what to look for and others willing to help.

Also logging dates can be problematic if you're married.
