NO!!! By half, you mean 3 1/2 quarts in two months. That is not normal. You need to get that checked out as soon as possible.

I didnt check for leaks yet, im taking it to the shop next week to check it out.
Is it normal that when I start the car blue gaz smelling cloud comes out while it heats up lol? I guess its because of catless downpipes? |

I have to top my oil every 3 months or so and I drive my car hard maybe 15% of the time. I also have 97k on it. I fixed all the oil leaks and I had my oil changed last week and the mechanic checked it out and no leaks. He says that these engines burn a lot of oil when driven hard so based on that it should be fine. Just check for oil leaks specially around the oil filter housing and valve cover. Hope this helps.

Blue clouds of smoke coming out the exhaust means you are burning oil (and a lot of it). With that high mileage I'd expect some burning to be normal, but not for 2000km.

because it shows on the halfway gone on the display it doesnt mean that it consumed half of the oil in the engine, i usually add like 2 quarts between oil changes and have found it to be normal. 0 leaks and no smoke either, anything over 2 quarts between oil changes and maybe id be worried |

OP, half a quart every 2,500kms is not terrible especially if you're pushing it hard some of the time. I think you're OK.
If yours was like mine, you might have an issue. Mine is burning a whole quart every 1,000 miles. It is a PPK2 and I tend to drive it hard more often than not but there is no smoke and no leaks (VCG and oil filter housing are perfectly clean). BMW had a look at it recently and couldn't find a problem. They've topped it up and want me to photograph when it hits the low mark and bring it in. |

blue smoke out of the exhaust is concerning... but half a quart of oil every 2500 km isn't the worst Ive heard. Used to have a mini cooper s that would burn a quart per 1500 miles
My 335i doesn't burn any oil according to the sensor though, had the car for 6000 miles and it's reading full. |

The one exhaust thing is because there is a flapper valve in the left exhaust bank to help the car warm. It's shut while the car is warming up.

That's not great but it really comes down to how much. Healthy cars will put out some white smoke at start up depending on atmospheric conditions (temperature and humidity). Does it smell oily? Blue smoke should smell like oil. And if so, your turbo seals may be leaking when cold. Do you get any smoke between shifts or when pushing the car hard?

Using up 1/2 bottle of oil every 2500 km is kinda on the high side, but it's in the normal ballpark. Some cars use more oil, and some less. My car usually goes 5,000 miles (8,000 km), which is my oil change interval, without using any oil, but a couple of times it was 1/2 bottle low by the time I was due for an oil change.
