Question about ordering

I'm about to place an order for a 335i and was wonder what dealers are requiring for a deposit? The first dealer I went to said 5% which sounds high to me. I was thinking more along the lines of $500 to $1000.

I paid $1000 that was completely refundable if I didnt want the car. Upon delivery it went towards the down payment.

My dealer asked for $1000.

I told my CA "I'm 24 and don't have an extra $1000 just sitting around." They took $500.

Same here....but other dealers have been known to accept as low as $500.

They asked me for 50,000. Then when I get the car, they give me a 5,300 credit, which I can use for BMW accessories. What a strange arrangement....

Just kidding, $1000 refundable.

$500 refundable as long as I didn't order any wacky comobos i.e. phoenex mettalic yellow with red interior or some crap like that
