i like the motion sensor because i dont have to close the top when i park my car for a quick grocery shopping.
i was wondering if it is easy to install?
how much does the dealer charge?
do i have the activate by dealer?

If you are trying to retrofit the factory alarm for the E93 (that is, you didn't get it installed from the factory), then it won't come with the interior motion sensor--that only comes installed from the factory that way. And if your car has a build date of 04/09 or newer it's not pre-wired for it so the install cost will be prohibitively expensive.

My 07 has alarm pre-wiring from the factory. I bought the (apparently super basic) "kit" and wil attempt instal sometime.

It's quick.
Panel in the roof, switch under the hood.
Pulling the liner in the rear driver fender well takes the most time.

Had it coded by a local guy for $80.
Total cost ~$320 installed.

If your car isn't pre wired, could be pretty costly. If you get an alarm installed, you also have to buy the motion sensors. That's another 300 or so. I was fortunate enough that my car was pre wired. Got my alarm for 120 plus 300 for the sensors. And another 125 for the install from a indie
