Anybody on the Fuji?

I got a call from my dealership today. They sad my car will be ready to pick up on 10/26 or worst case at 27. He said they wont be any wait at the port.

I will pick up my car from LA and drive to Phoenix.

Hi everyone,

I called NYK Lines wondering if the Hurricane was going to be a problem, and at this time, the Fuji will be docking in San Diego on the 25th and Port Hueneme on the 26th. They told me it takes a day or so to clear customs. So it seems that most of us in California will not be receiving our cars until next week. I was foolishly thinking I might get my car this weekend. I don't think I will ever order a car again - don't have the patience for it.

Unfortunately, it won't be at Port Hueneme until later today. Its first stop is San Diego and leaves at 5pm. It should take a day or two to clear customs and then on to the VPC.

well I don't know if it is gonna happen yet, but Beverly hills BMW assure me for the delivery of the car to the dealership and releasing it by tomorrow morning. They even schedule guy to tint my car on Friday at 9 am.

Well i don't mind to wait a few days more. As long as I know that my car is on US soil. :rocks:

I thought San Diego was 1st stop then Port Hueneme...I thought wrong

Well, the opportunity to pick up an E92 335i came up, and I jumped at the chance. The coupe is already on Oahu, and I am picking her up tomorrow morning. Best wishes for all of you with cars on the Fuji.

So for us California people, our cars are probably being unloaded and are sitting at customs or on the way to the VPC. Anyone confirm with their dealer on a delivery date?

I just got "The call" from my dealer. He told me that the car is at the port on California soil (yippie) and he expects it to be ready middle to late next week. The bad news is that I will be out of town when it comes in! I also told him not to put any dealer stickers on the car and not to use it as a demo! I did not order Sirius so I will have him install that as well. The car already went to production when I originially ordered. What a tough 2 months it has been going without a car.

So my dealer called and the car is finally at the dealership. I will be picking it up Friday, Nov 3. Finally, the wait is over! I wish everyone the best of luck. Hope you get a chance to post pictures of your car here.

Picking up my car tonight as well. Can't believe the wait is over!! Will post pics in the next few days. Hopefully the rest of you will get your cars this weekend too!

Is anyone else who was on the Fuji still waiting for their car to arrive?

I'm in Northern California and my 335i coupe (M/T, ZPP, ZSP, iDrive, heated seats) seems to be stuck at Port Hueneme (not VPC). My CA doesn't seem to know what the delay is about.

Owner's Circle says that the car is still "En-route", while calling the BMW USA 1-800 number indicates that the vehicle is at the port and awaiting transport.

Does anyone have an idea about what could be delay my car?

Same thing here I live in AZ, but i am picking up my car from LA.
First of all ship released cars to the port Hueneme on 10/30. CA told that they were some issues at the port. because he said shipped either arrived at the port but didn't unload until 30th or it just arrived lat.

On Saturday my dealership started to receive 328 s . Sunday were no shipment. Today i saw 335 at the dealer. On Saturday he showed me the website. it said that my car finished VPC and it is just waiting for delivery to the dealership. At the website Port Arrival date was October 30th and release date was on 4th of November.
Hoping to receive it by tomorrow. I came to LA to pick my car and it is frustrating to wait for it.
For the rest who got their car, I believe they were either in different ship or they got out of the ship at San Diego. Since VPC at the port Hueneme started to release cars on 4th of November.

My e90 335 was on the Fuji, I'm in the bay area, and it went through PH and the Oxnard VPC - I picked mine up on the 4th, s you should be getting yours soon. Believe me it's worth the wait
