pre-lci mtech front install, is this the right place to cut? (pics)

i have the mtech bumper on right now but it doesn't seem to fit entirely right. i'm guessing it's because i didn't cut out the area marked in the instructions.

1. in pic 1 are the instructions

2. pic 2. is that the correct area to cut?

3. pic 3, do i cut 28mm from the very front inwards?

did you also replace the fender or hood to fit the lci headlamps in?

no, lci and pre-lci headlights are the exact same physically. they swap in and out. side fenders are the same as far as i know. the hood and front bumper have to match lci with lci because of the grilles.

so if i do lci swap i would need front bumper hood and grills?
