Is the actual bulb braking? Only because before I change any bulb I fiddle with the wiring hardness going into the holder. The holders are rubbish and if they vibrate free they tend to turn one of my lights off. Worth a check especially if you've got the old bulb holders before they were changed

e92/e93 pre-Lci cars do suffer from corrosion around the bulb contacts too. So it may not be the bulb. Had the same problem on a mates e93, had to replace the light module in the end

Dodgy earth? If the earth connection has corrosion on it or is not quite connected properly it will cause a high resistance, draw more power through the circuit and blow bulbs. Worth a look.

I get my left and right rear brake light warnings a few times due to the poor connections. Filament has always been intact. Jiggle and put back. Works until the next vibration or whatever shakes it loose again. May be the same for you.
