Hello,

I will first introduce myself.
I am Timothy de Visser, 30 years old and live in the Netherlands.
My job is truck builder at Volvo Trucks Europe.
I have a BMW e91 from 2006, which I have completely converted to a facelift.

Now I have started (almost finished) a motor swap from n46b20b to n52b30a.
At the request of some people I decided to share my swap here.

For this swap I opted for the N52K engine 3.0 (2009) with 73,000 kilometers on it.
The transmission is a Gs6-37BG 6 gear manual.
Since this motor is originally from a facelift and therefore the cabling is different, I have had to use 2 parts of the wiring harness of an n52b25 from 2006 for this motor and 1 of the 2009 motor.
This also meant that I had to use an msv70 instead of the msv80.
The only problems I encountered are the isn / ews and powerclass (these are currently being solved by Hassmachine)
Furthermore, I had to change the engine mounts, all air-conditioning shafts, power steering shafts, cardan shaft, exhaust & the full rear axle (because of the brakes)

Yes, fingers crossed the engine will start when I get my dme back from hassmachine

The swap was a hell of a ride.
Had my fun with it, can’t wait for the first run

Starting to get a little worried.
The dme is in hands of hassmachine and should be ready last Friday.
The last time I heard from hass was last Thursday and now he isn’t responding to my messages.
Hope there is nothing wrong with hass.
Waiting on the dme is hard, car is ready but only misses the dme.

just did some quick research about those bars. I found that they are called v-brace, and can be found on F series. Which I've noticed on my f25.

Surprisingly, either the forums is more mature, or the haters quit, because on DIY Ive found, damn people were mean about this mod. I think it looks cool, but since it seems to be a visual effect only, I'll pass on this mod. If it was my dd, yeah I would totally do it.
