I wrote a letter to the VP of aftersales at BMW USA and to the Consumer Relations Department. Hopefully I get a response and some help on this one because this is insane!

My turbo's were replaced at 28k by original owner have 69k on the car now. No rattle, car running pretty good. I agree with the guy above, the 335 is the most unreliable car I have ever owned. Replaced Vanos, HPFP 4 times, all injectors, and lots of poorly made interior pieces including outside window trim. The car is a piece of shit, IMO, but when its running good, I fucking love it! Best advice......get your shit fixed, and trade for an m3 or a5/s5. Fuck the n54.

Oh yeah, get the extended warranty too. I will never ever buy a new BMW, nor will I buy another one that is not CPO or extended warranty.

^ Harsh words and praising an Audi?!?!? WTF those things are awful, they just look good.....I would much rather have my 335 with problems, than a f*cking POS Audi.

I've had some issues and I do agree the 335s have some troubling issues, but careful what you wish for; the new M3 will be an upgraded N54. I think that can only make the product line (below it - new 335s) better.

true.....for any German car. To expensive to fix on your own.

My SA at Richmond BMW called me today. The manager handling my "claim" at BMW of North America told me on 6/20 that she would call me in 1-3 days. She never did. The SA said they were supposed to call me but that he would just tell me what they came up with since I had yet to be contacted.

They said that BMW NA was now offering their labor price and hours for the job. I am guessing that this is basically what they are trying to say their costs are. This is in addition to the half off of parts that I was told previously.

Total Now = $2170 before tax

I am not sure whether to accept it or to try to see if I get a response from the letter I sent to BMW NA's VP of aftersales and their consumer relations department. Not to mention, I would like to see if they would be willing to sell me an extended warranty even though the car is currently not under warrenty due to the circumstances.

They are $595.00 each - the extra $100.00 is for the refundable core charge applied to each unit.

You know what "On sale" and "special" mean right?
Means thats not the usual price they sell them for. Have ever been to a mall on a sale? Old advertised price remains on display, you just get the discount at the counter....

Oh wait, you are in France? I don't know what you guys do over there... never mind.

It's a special - you'll pay 695.00 upfront (which includes the 100.00 core charge). When you return your old turbo - we'll reiumburse you the 100.00. You'll end up paying 595.00 total per turbo once the process is complete.

End result: BMW NA offered me half of parts and my dealor offered reduced labor prices. Total cost went from $5000 -> $2170. After a month, I am supposed to get the car back today... The total business days to fix the car (counting saturdays) : 10...that is if I get it today
