About 2 months ago I replaced the spark plugs and ignition boots of my 323i 2007 to keep things maintained.

This morning, the car was rough, spluttered on the motorway, rough idle, exhaust smells like sulphur and the cabin shakes, no engine light.

Turned off the car and back on again and it's sweet again.

Is this indicative of anything going wrong?

Seems like bad fuel injectors could be wrong tho.

You have limp mode. Could be a eccentric shaft sensor issue.

Mostly likely fuel injectors. I had same issue and 3 injectors failed to me at the same time 2 years ago, and my car is 2009.

Did they change the injector value in the ecu?

BMW replaced all 6 injectors with 3 at no cost, don't know if they code them or not.
