And maybe a bottle of coolant like I had in my 2004 325i?
But seriously, what about a spare tire. I now have a new to me 2009 328i and I have the no spare tire phobia. I was used to having a full size spare tire and wheel ready to go into service with my now gone e46. dcay |

Perhaps a coat hanger to allow you to jimmy the lock on other cars and a working knowledge of how to Hotwire...

you need your tools.
zip ties, duct tape, a flashlight, a video camera, and gloves.

Small first aid kit
Gloves, wipes and towel Flashlight Quart of oil Quart of coolant Flat repair / inflater Small tool kit Jumper cables Car fire extinguisher Road flares At some point I have used each of these in the past and I was glad to have them on hand to help myself or others out of a jam. Two kind strangers pulled me out of a snow bank on two occasions, after their selfless acts I always pay it forward. |

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

a triple a card.
I started out carrying a bunch of crap, but the reality is that if it's anything more than a flat tire I'm just towing it home anyway to work on it. I only take my compressor when I'm traveling farther than 100 miles from my house. The only things in the back now are a first aid kit, a bottle of invisible glass, window cleaning cloths and some ratchet straps, because I use a BMW wagon like a truck. |

How did you amass that collection? Did you just walk into Pep Boys and say “I’ll take one of everything you have. Throw it in this duffel bag.” Couldn’t ever blame you for being unprepared though! |
