break in period for 335i

just wondering what kind of damage can happen if you pass the recommended mph or rpm? stupid question i know but still wanting to learn more...i mean ive driven regularly so far. and waiting for the break in period

I never broke my 335 in and I've had zero problems. Never knew 335s had to be broken in.

you don't have to break them in, the motor is ran through break-in procedure before it is ever put in the car. Drive it however you want to.

the proper break in to keep the motor is to not exceed 100 mph and 4.5k rpm for the first 1200 miles. it's in the manual. if you are leasing the car, you don't have to worry becuz you will return the car in 2 or 3 yrs to the dealer anyways. if you bought the car and plan to keep it for awhile, then just on the safe side, follow the break in procedure. my 2 cents.
