oem M3 style 220M rims on e90 335i

My friend whom just recently bought an M3 wanted to borrow my v710s for a photoshoot so we decided to swap rims temporarily, here are the results:

-oem 19" style 220M with factory michelin ps2 runflats. 245 front 275 rear
-2008 sport package e90 335i, no lowering springs. Slightly rolled fenders.
-No spacers

I've heard many stories about how it's impossible to fit factory M3 rims on the 3 series without a smaller profile tire but it doesn't seem to be the case for me. These rims fill up the rear very well on the sport suspension without a drop, although the front does still have a lot of gap.

The wheels have been on my car for a few days now and so far I haven't had any rubbing issues.

For for anyone that still wonder if oem setup M3 wheels will fit, it is for sure to fit on a non-lowered e90 3 series with slightly rolled fenders. Hopefully that clears some things up.

You know, I've run just about every size/offset front wheel on the e90 (with height adjustable coilovers) getting it set up for the track and I can tell you right now you are rub city if you ever decide to drive it like a man.

Rolling the front only does so much. It's the lip where the bumper meets the fender that you have to deal with. No way that wont rub without crazy neg camber, even in 4x4 style like you have it.

Try it for a while then go check your wheel well liners for skid marks.

yeah probably, I felt a slight rub in my passenger front well when I turned my wheel all the way to the left to back out of my my garage, but other then that, no scrubbing on everyday driving so far

For those who have an E92, this will not work by any means.

I have OEM 220's on my coupe, lowered on H&R sports.

Heavy modification was required to the car and wheels. It is possible to PULL the fender, but that looks terrible in my opinion. I am also using Bridgestone RE050A Pole Positions (non run-flat) and they run wider than most tires do because of the drastic rim protector. In general Bridgestones, BFG, Michelin run wide.

Falken 452's have the slightly rounded sidewall, probably giving it more clearance. But I agree, it isnt impossible!

I have seen Dare's car in person. He is also using Falken tires.

Dare's E92 has PULLED fenders which I can spot from a hundred feet away, which distorts the look of the fender. Read my post again.

A 265/30/19 RE050A Pole position is about as wide as a 275-285 Falken. Falken tires are stretched and very narrow.

I read your post, and also read Dare's post. He never mentioned "pulled fenders," so how was I supposed to know. Pulled, trimmed, and rolled is not the same in my book. No reason to get defensive. We're here to help each other out. These wheels look really nice on non-M E9X cars.

452's or T1R's will definitely help the process with the rounded sidewalls. Fender roll and pull and you should be ok.

hey guys, i got a 2008 335i coupe which id presume is the e92. I got the OEM 19's, same ones as pictured above but had the rubbing issue in the back. the second i drove it i herd it rub i took it off. My question being is, if i get 2 more front oem 19's, would it solve my rubbing issue in the back?

Yes, since they're narrower.

What tire size are you running? You should get 235/35/19 in stead of the M3 size of 245/35/19.

I have a couple questions for you.

1. Is your 335i came with fender pre-rolled from new? Mine was bought CPO and both front and back fenders are already rolled.

2. I am also looking at e90 220 m3 wheels with 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear. Do you think I shouldnt worry about rubbing since both my fenders are already rolled?

You should be better them most since you have a 07.(07 &08 have more room in the rear) It also depends on the tires you get. What suspension do you have?
If your interested I have a set of 220 rims that I am going to sell and I'm in socal.

Hello.

I just bought a really nice set of these 220m wheels.. Without considering if they fit.

Now, I've probably read about 17 different posts on the web, and about 2/3 of them are that it will rub without serious modifications, and about 1/3 say, that under some circumstances, everything fits.

I have a 2007 e90 330i. I want to put 225/35 R19 in the front and 255/30 R19 in the back. Most of you say that 235/35 R19 and 265/30 R19 won't rub if fenders are rolled.

So I should be ok? How would the tyre look on a 8.5 wheel?
