P2402 Code

Anyone know what this entails. I searched but didn't find the definition of the BMW code on here.

This is the general code listing i found on internet:

P2402 - Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Control Circuit High

You can get a Chinese copy of BMW's GT1. The point is, if you are going to take on the task of troubleshooting and repairing your car, you need the proper tools. The BT scanner is one such tool you must have in your tool box. Today's cars have complex systems in them that are run by computers and you need the interface to access those computers. If you don't want to invest in a scan tool, then let a mechanic handle the issue for you. Also you need the proper documentation on how to diagnose problems and fix them. Right now the only two available resources are BMW's TIS website, whiich is a pay-as-you-go technical information site, or the Bentley repair manual for the E9x series.
