Also refitted the heat shields exhaust and rear brace

Also chucked one wheel on the car to have a look

You've been busy wrenching mate!

Gloss black rims look great, albeit they're a bastard to keep clean!

Is it just me or does the wheel look too small for the car?

Now that you mention it, yes it does, hopefully its just because it's hanging down so low, they are only 18's, couldn't affors new rims just yet so painted them to get a different look, hopefully the black hasn't visually shrunk them, that would suck...now you've got me worried Rubes

Thanks DrJ, fingers crossed BMW Canberra has a new hose so I can put it all back together and drive it...otherwise it'll be another week waiting for parts to arrive...

Good work on everything Hops. Wish I had the garage space to do what you are doing. Black wheels look good. I have black 19's on mine and agreed with others they are a bugger to keep clean. They do also look amazing on our colour car. I was thinking of painting my next wheels a dark grey. Might not show up as much dust and muck etc...

Gloss black ftw

19's are good. 18's too small. Just get some staggered 19" reps, will set you back roughly $1200 for a set....

Thanks guys, will see how it looks on the ground

Now have the cooling system back in the car, filled and bled with no leaks

Refitted the power steering lines and front swaybar that had to be moved to get to the thermostat

then stuck the air filters on it and started it up, it still runs so I haven't completely stuffed it

Ran it up to temp, no coolant leaks, the oil is reporting full and there's no oil leaks either

Not 100% sold on the sound of the modded exhaust, I'll wait till I can drive it before I decide if its good or bad, idle sounds ok and might sound OK under load

only need to bleed the brakes, refit the headlights, front bumper, engine cover, cowl and all the plastic trays etc and I'm done

Thanks Socks, had something on after work today, so only managed to bleed the brakes when I got home, will hopefully get the majority of the peripherals back on tomorrow night

Finally put all the plastic undertrays back on and put it on the ground

I like the stance with the Koni's and HR's

Verdict on the exhaust mod is that it sounds pretty good and not too loud, would probably soumd better with catless DPs

I'll give it a wash tomorrow and do a log or two and start organsing a tune before Brule shows up feom the NT and beats me up

will also post some pics and a vid of how rhe exhaust sounds

Only thing not on the car is the rear diffuser, which I've painted 4 times and screwed up 4 times, so its getting sanded and painted again

Next Mod
Black roundels to continue the Silver and Black theme

You have to look closely to see the black and chrome roundels on the wheels...

Not 100% sold, might get some that aren't all black but have 2 of the quarters silver, will see if it grows on me
