Have your calipers sand blasted, prime them with rustoleum and then use G2 paint.

Good luck, caliper paint is cheaper than dip and will hold up much better

We're gonna find out lol. Worst case, it doesn't hold. Peel off & start over.

I’m a spray paint fanatic.....I’ve plasti dipped painted a few bits and pieces on my car. It will hold up to normal exposure on the exterior/interior if you use the clear coat sealer to protect it. I would never use/trust it on a mechanical part, especially a brake caliber.

I painted my calipers using hi temp ceramic paint. They came out great and still look like new a to this day.

Believe me you don’t want to paint the calipers twice, and getting plasti dip off a caliper will prob be a PIA. I wouldn’t chance it. Just my 2 cents.

Putting on a clearcoat defeats thebpurpose of plasti dip, even though its super rice and shouldn’t be used in the first place, its gonna make it a lot harder to remove, which is the only “upside” to plasti dip
Might as well actually paint them

-1 for dipping. I understand your take on being able to peel it off if you don't like it but it just seems like double the work as it's not going to hold regardless. I painted mine with ceramic paint and they look amazing. I have a feeling you are a lot like I am mentally, none of what I just said will mean a thing to you......post pics of the dipped calipers and give feedback after.

Use some G2 caliper or similar paint. It has held up real well on my calipers, only smacks with the wheel from a dumbass mechanic has put any chips on them, same as powdercoat would have chipped though.

You would never know, or be able to tell the small areas I plasti dipped. One of the good things with it is overspray rubs right off.

As for it being “rice” if you are a true perfectionist with a paint can or even plasti dip spray it looks fine. I just wouldn’t do big areas, rims or the entire car....that’s rice.
