Bland Grey Calipers
I've searched but haven't found much on this. My car is a 2011 335i with the beautiful 19" 313M recently fitted with fresh PS4s. The wheels really make the bland grey calipers stand out like a sore thumb. I don't want to change calipers so what can I do to make them look better? A little more high performance looking. Any ideas?

I rattle can all my car's brakes flat black and held up very well, clean hidden look and not really trying to point out stock brakes with bright colors. honesty as long as it's done well any color is better than rust or uneven discoloration and it is pretty ez with the right chemicals during a brake job

I cleaned mine up and sprayed them black, the non-M brakes aren't large so it's a waste to paint them anything bright. I also took the time to clean up the wheel wells.

I pulled the clips, used a wire brush and used a high temperature paint. You can paint the clip separately and reassemble when dry. I've done it twice in the nearly six years of ownership. I'll attach another shot from the first time I painted them.

G2 from everything I have read is most durable and most expensive. You have instructions how to clean and kit will come with cleaning solution. |

I think that is debatable, I've seen BMW Performance and M calipers and they are much larger than 328 and 335 calipers. Perhaps you would share some knowledge.

Are you talking about all BMWs or like on the E9X generation? I must say the E9X M3 brakes look pretty much the exact same as us.

335: 348mm rotor M3: 360mm rotor Now, F30 M3 and generally brakes are absolute mess choice wise. |

F3X M performance front brakes are 370mm and plug and play. F8x need an adapter and are 380mm. Rear options are a little more complicated but far from difficult especially compared to when I did it, all the various adapter options weren't available.

Just so everyone is clear, f30 base, sport and M performance are all same pad size wise, but three different compounds, S2NHA being most aggressive! I am right now in process of installing F30 brakes in front (340mm) and E82 135 in the back on my 328. |
