DCT flush DIY?

Hey guys,

has anyone ever tried flushing the DCT "at home"?
I've only found one pretty old thread about that, but unfortunately most of the ppl there seemed to mix up a simple oil change (which I think everyone knows by now, is not nearly enough if you want to get all of the old oil out) with a complete flush...

So, my idea is that, at least in theory, it could be done fairly easily by hooking up two hoses onto the flanges for the DCT oil cooler, one dumped into a canister of fresh DCTF-1, and the other into an empty canister for the old stuff... is that correct?
Or am I missing something?

Btw, sorry if this is the wrong subforum, I'm completely new to e90post

Don’t do a full transmission flush, you could risk breaking your AT. Just change your AT fluid more regularly and you’ll be just fine. Also, if you replace your filter, get new transmission solenoids, they’re not that expensive.

First things first, this is about the DCT, not the AT. Also, I don't see how a flush will harm any transmission at all, that is if it is done right...
