E92 Aero Front Lip

Hello

can anyone please help me or point me in the right direction, im looking for a front aero lip for my e92. Ive seen loads on ebay from USA or Taiwan for around 100 pounds. But is there anyone in UK who sells them for roughly the same price? also will fitting be 100%?

Thanks

Bit more than you want, but it's a good splitter:

Teddy at SSDD Motorsport can supply, but not at £100.
YGWYPF

His replicas are GOOD, so good they have the same small imperfections of the BMW parts!

I looked at this when buying the aero front for my car. The real cheap ones are poor quality fibreglass and stones could easily destroy them so I avoided. I ended up going for a BMW part because the fit of some of the replicas I saw pictures of was a bit off and didn't line up fully with the front of the car. That to my eyes made it look a bit of an add on and because its so obvious on the front of the car I then decided to go for the original part. Cost a few quid but its the best addition I made to the car, makes a massive difference to the looks and fit is 100%.

Not sure what the original is made of as I got it supplied, painted and fitted by the same dealer before collecting the car. Certainly isn't anything too brittle.

OEM Aero lip is made from PU.

I had an oem lip but damaged it. I read some of the reviews of the non oem lips over on the US section of this forum and had bought one from fastlane_imports, shipped and painted from Taiwan. Material was the same, paint was perfect and fitment was spot on, in fact, slighty better as the ends wrapped around the bumper making fitment more secure

OEM

Cheap import

Did you get one to fit around the ACC, or did you have to 'adjust' it?

Just what I did on my 335, even managed to find some silicon sealant in appropriate colour to fill the gaps where the lip met the bumper

If you have active cruise you can buy an original one to fit. Sounds a better job than cutting and filling with silicone.

You doubt what exactly mate?

The fact that the replicas are very accurate?
Or the fact that even the BMW parts are not totally perfect?

I can tell you from first hand fitting experience that the BMW part is NOT a 100% accurate fit.
It runs to being very slightly proud at the ends near the wheels, and there are small gaps at the top of intercooler aperture.
Exactly like the SSDD replicas, I have owned both.

Perhaps you are of the opinion that 'nobody does it better than BMW', and that the oem price is reassuringly high.
You pays yer money....

Steve.

Nigelo, good to see a fellow NI member here, welcome. Wanted to PM you but you haven't the post count.

Is it M3 skirts you are wanting or E92 M Sport ones that you can easily fit to an SE and they improve the look loads. Reason i ask is that I fitted M Sport ones to my car and may be selling the car therefore could remove and sell the skirts if you were interested. Also have an immaculate M sport steering wheels with the paddle cutouts that I also would remove if selling the car, this again was a fantastic upgrade to the SE wheel.

Do the E92 M sport skirts just clip on or is there a mod required?

Davy, I agree - however I was too impatient to change the splitter and did it myself. And actually did quite a good job

The Silicon was to fill the gaps that Steve mentions, not the cut-out around the ACC

Hi there! Need to get my post count up! Just picked up the car there today - space grey 335i se.

Not fussy on what skirts I put on really - just know that the profile needs a little more oomph!
Is the wheel an m-sport version? I've got the sports wheel I think, but not the full m-sport one. Would it fit a non-paddleshift car?

Thanks for the welcome!!
