Hi all,

This morning I went to start my car and there was a light knock and squeak coming from the front of the engine bay, it's only there on cold start and goes away, My car is a 2011, I've been reading that the 2011 N55 have had a vanos bolt recall, but not sure if this is the problem, the car has barely done 26k miles and always warmed and cooled down before and after spirited driving, the car has full service history along with me carrying out interim services, there is hardly any mods to the car apart from bolt ons and PPK stage 2 (basically stage 1 with an upgraded fan and ducting for cooling purposes), I'm hopeful that it is nothing serious, and someone more knowledgable can advise, I have recorded a video of the sound but not sure how to upload it,

Put it on Youtube and post the link. Not sure about the knock but the squeak is usually the belt\pulley on it's way out.

Could be a pulley bearing or something like that. Doesn't sound terminal.
