Update me please on MHD/JB4
Hey all.
So I?ve been out of the game for a couple years and just enjoying my E90 (N55). I?m getting the itch to start buying parts again now. When I stopped keeping up with the forum is when the N55 MHD was still being developed. Everyone was eagerly waiting. So now that MHD is available are people ditching the JB4? Or run them both? I?ve looked around but only found a 200+ page thread. If someone could give me a TLDR version of what the new jam is now days I?d really appreciate it. I live in CA with crap 91oct, but I enjoy hitting up map 5 with a half tank of e85 now and then. My mods: JB4 iso with flex fuel wires VRSF straight pipe VRSF 7? IC BMS charge pipe BMS intake Alpina trans flash Also is this new trans flash thing everyone?s talking about better than Alpina? TIA |

XHP is great just go straight for stage 3. With the MHD OTS maps you kinda gotta see what works for you and be sure to get the logging thing

IMO, if you already have MHD give JB4+MHD a try. BEF is free and all logging is done thru the JB4 interface or app.
It's definitely smoother, but not as smooth as MHD flash only. When I was FBO stock turbo my car was noticeably faster with JB4+BEF rather than MHD OTS MAP's. Again, this is my experience. One of the main reasons I've stuck with JB4+MHD is because of the meth control.

I love my MHD. Luckily I ran into some weird issues trying to put a JB4 on my car (I had JB4 on my old N54 years ago and just got a N55) and gave up and went to MHD. Much easier and I like the interface a lot better, no messing around with the stupid ecu box either. |
