Ordered my Forgestars today, since my wife is leaving I can do it and I bet when she comes back home she won't see the difference, she didn't even see notice my M3 rep when I got my car back from the shop.

you are one lucky ass, my first mod was the blackline, my wife spotted it RIGHT AWAY! oh well, my car pretty much has not much stuff is stock now, i can't lie to her like before "yea the car came like this", that trick definitely not working no more. i just admit it now, yea i got my trunk, i got my m3 front, i got my quad... blah blah blah... honestly she is more happy when i just tell her im modding and show her what i modded. hahahaha. her guesstimate is pretty dead on too! she is not a car-wifey, but after i got my brembo bbk, my TE37SL, she was pretty dead on the price tag! i was surprised!

Well for the body, she knows where that money is coming from since I got rid of my other hobby to fund the body kit. However, the wheels were not something she knows. Can't wait to sell my stock shit.

Yes we will have to do that I'll ride in your car to check out the yellows and you ride in mine to checkout the Alpina Flash.

Actually I just did a cart update and getting the yellows with the springs were cheaper than the FSDs. By a few bucks.

To be honest, once you drove up to mi casa, I was like damn, I need a drop kit. I couldn't remember what you had, yellows or golds. In the market haven't purchased yet. Got to ask the GF, she probably won't be very happy. Hehe..

Sounds good! Stupid me :/

I'm running yellows and hr sports. Didn't do sways because I was torn if that would help or hurt traction with my LSD. Anyways, I like the feel. You're welcome to come by and test drive if you want.

^+1, can't go wrong with yellow. it's pretty much bang for the buck quality piece. have fun dialing in the right dampening, rear will be a bitch cuz you have to take out the rear and do the adjustment. i did mine for 5 times until i found the right setting. front is easy, pop the hood, loosen strut tower and you can adjust from there.

im settled at 67% firm in front, 95% firm in rear.

That's what I'll start with. Just gotta call about the springs, Eibach, want to make sure the drop is good. 1.4" in front and 1" in rear. Most likely that from stock not sport suspension.

no vince, each spring rate has different setting to different dampening. given koni yelloe max can stand for 600 lbs without revalving. my front spring rate is 400 lbs and rear is 620 lbs. so that balance out my application. if the spring you buying has a lower rate, im pretty sure they are, you need a lower setting on the dampening. if not you may experience bouncing all over the place

@eric,

I switched to thicker spacers today. While doing so, I looked at the studs. I'm 99.9% sure the rotors slide right off without needing to remove the studs. Therefore, unless you need to remove the hub, you should be okay adjusting the emergency brake without tearing it al down.

really @dsbj? cuz i know taking the caliper and rotor off is kinda something i don't wanna do it in the middle of the night.

yep @vneblob42, learn it from the hard way =)

just taking out and putting the rear struts is no fun. the fastest i could ever done it with my impact gun was 20 mins. but yea, i figure if you go with HR or Eibach, rear you can start out at 50% firm to get a feel of it first.

@eric,

I can't be absolutely certain but I think so...

Taking off the rotors isn't that bad though. Realistically, once you have the wheel off, it's 2 bolts to remove the caliper and 1 screw to remove the rotor. That's not too much work buddy. If I'm wrong, feel free to post hate mail here

Picked up my Eibach springs for $260 shipped from RIP tuning from here and Koni Sport Yellows for 588 shipped from BavAuto.

David at Sac AutoBody is doing the fender roll.

Next looking for exterior detail. Anyone know a good place? Luxury Detail looks pretty good?

Damn, spending too much...
