ipod plays 2 songs then just keeps scrolling
I tried searching and couldnt find anything like this. I have a 2008 coupe, non iDrive with iPod option. If I go to play a playlist, it'll play about 2-3 songs and then the stupid thing keeps on scrolling to the next song, next song... etc. without playing anything... anyone hear of this?

i had the same problem although i finally realized that i wasn't playing the iPod but the mp3 cd and had forgotten to switch. I think i burned the MP3 cd too fast which caused it to skip.. make sure you actually have the ipod selected and not a CD!

I'm using the ipod cable from bmw and haven't used CD's until this started happening. I had this problem a couple times before, but solved it by plugging in my other ipod which i guess resets the memory or something... but then I switch it back to pod#1 (the newer 160 classic) when the nano starts acting stupid... i took it into the dealer once, and they said they were going to check the software version and gave it back to me... happened again soon after that.... lame-0. now i'm kind of wishing i got the navi option even though i like the clean look better

My stupid 2008 328i cd wont play mp3 properly. For $38k you would think the car can do something my 10yrs old acura can do. Does anyone have same problems with their bmw? How do you get it fixed - I take it to the dealer but they say if the cd player plays regular cds ok, then there is nothing wrong with it. But if I put an mp3 cd in - it will skip like 100times per song.
