Android Head Unit For Non-iDrive E92? 2018

I am interested in getting a good new android head unit for my 2007 E92. I do not have Logic 7, and I do not have iDrive. I have HiFi speakers and I currently have some amp's lined up that I'm interested in. I am capable of doing modifications to my wiring if I need to do so, I just want the best set up and I'd appreciate all the help I can get. I would prefer CarPlay as I am using IOS 12 on my iPhone X. (I am unsure if the other recommendations in other threads fit this criteria as they are from 1 year+) I also use Waze daily. Thanks again

You don't need to do any cutting into your Wiring if you use
the right adapters.
Technic Harness for the Hi Fi amp replacement is a no brainier.

Can't advise you on Head Units.
Dynavin , Avin and Eonon seem popular and are reviewed here.
These run from pretty solid to cheap in build and quality.

Thank you for your help. I have reviewed all of those links and I sent technic a message through their website. Their adapter is currently sold out. I am wondering if anyone else has direct knowledge on 2018 Era head units with a good rep. The dynavin d99 links are from 2012 and I could really use some extra help

I see the Dynavin N7 exists, I'm just curious about the relocation of the heated seat button with this unit along with the possibility of their being a better option than this product.

Dynavin n7 is one of the better options for quality and integration.

The newer xtrons unit also has good reviews and includes a bigger screen too.

Eonon is another popular brand.

With all I suggest you get their latest model. I also believe they all include heated seat buttons on screen so you may not need to relocate the physical ones.

Good luck and keep us posted!

In my 2012 135i E82 coupe I put in a Joying Android 8.0 single DIN unit with 8" screen. Double DIN is harder to fit in a 1 series.

I then upgraded the speakers with Audiotec Fischer Match speakers. The sound quality didn't improve much using the stock amp, so I installed a Kicker KEY180.4 amp with Auto EQ DSP and a Kenwood amp for the subs and the sound is now great. The amp harness I used was from ebay, not technic.

I actually read your thread prior to making this and your amp is my #1 choice. I had some questions for you about that, I'll send you a pm. Thank you for your help

You don't have iDrive so the options aren't really limited to vehicle specific units and really any aftermarket can go in there. I'm a bit partial to Kenwood, so an example would be the Excelon DMX905S. If you Want to stay with a vehicle specific unit then Dynavin *should be your only choice.
