Hi people,

Having sold my 530d I’m on the look out for a LCI 330d/25d coupe/convertible however finding one in a manual transmission is proving some what difficult!

I have now been considering buying a non CIC car and having it all retro fitted.

What would I be paying for the CIC, hard drive, usb and coms etc...the whole shabang! (not sure if I need a coms box if the car has blue tooth?)

Can any one recommend an outfit or individual that can do this?

If you are patient and can use a screwdriver this a very achievable DIY. It'll save you a load on fitting costs.

If you also take your time and source all the parts from eBay for example you could potentially stay around the £500 mark. For CIC you no longer need to use an emulator so that's another saving. Just depends on how good you are at sniffing out a bargain.

If money is no object and you get it done, expect to pay £800 upwards I guess.

I keep thinking of getting this done as a passing fancy, but there has never really been a major reason to do so as I prefer using my phone for Google maps etc.

Seeing the android addin unit recently however, I am somewhat closer to making the plunge.
