EFI Logics Custom Calibrated N54 135i – 341whp/394wtq!

Hi, everyone! My name is Josh and I am proud to announce EFI Logics new custom calibration service offered for N54 135i and 335i vehicles using Cobb’s Accessport!! For those of you who are unsatisfied with “one size fits all” tuning solutions offered for your BMW, this is the solution you have been waiting for! A custom tune from EFI Logics will help you unlock the potential of your N54 equipped vehicle through custom calibration specific to your vehicle. Off the shelf maps can never match the stability and accuracy of custom calibration so through custom calibration you can safely increase your BMW’s power output, enhance drivability and improve power delivery.

I recently let Chris work his magic on my 2008 135i and the results are stunning! During controlled testing to see what the car could produce it made an incredible 341 whp and 394 wtq at 16psi using 93 octane pump gas on their mustang dyno! Equipped with ONLY a Cobb Accessport and a K&N drop-in air filter the car made an impressive 28 whp and 40 wtq over Cobb’s Stage 1 Agreessive V301 93 octane map.

Now, some of you may be thinking that 16psi is high in comparison to the target boost settings from off the shelf maps. This is true, but my car was calibrated here in cold winter of Connecticut. Leveraging the winter cold air to help combat intake charge air temperatures, we were able to raise the boost safely and thus increase power output while carefully monitoring and adjusting other engine parameters. AFR’s remain nice and safe throughout the powerband with timing actually being less than that of Cobb’s off the shelf map. The car will be detuned prior to the warm weather in expectance of intake charge air temps getting too high, but for now I am thoroughly enjoying the tidal wave of torque! Or we may just build an intercooler in order to keep the temperatures down instead. In addition to the momentous increase in power that resulted from the tune, the power is now delivered even more smoothly than it was before. It is a very rewarding feeling to be able to feed the throttle progressively at will without any surges or drops in power where you don’t want them. The off the shelf map felt as if it had a slight “burp” near the top of the powerband, but that has been completely eliminated with this new map. I also noticed right away that the throttle now reacts quicker to inputs than it did before. I used to hate the throttle feel. It felt as if I was stepping on a sponge, but now the throttle feels sharp and reactive making it easier to adjust the throttle positioning to the exact amount you would like.

HERE is another review from a customer who recently had his 2008 335ix AT tuned at EFI Logics.

It appears a lot of custom tunes have made power over the OTS stage 1 Cobb map. Mind you this is on a Mustang dyno!

I'd be interested to see the results on a FBO car. No offence, but i think because stage 1 leaves so much headroom the same delta of 30whp and 40wtq is unlikely between a stage 2+ car and a custom tune.
Great work/power gains for guys not wanting bolt-ons though

Yes, I'd love to see what kinda power is on the table over S2+ OTS map.

Having a separate map for cold weather is a great idea; never thought of that. I could definitely utilize that here in Canada .

Awesome!!! Hello Group, I am new to your forum, but not new to the BMW world. I have owned many M Cars, and track them on the regular. I figured I could chime in here, as I recently drove Josh's car before and after the tune. (drove the piss out of it actually, sorry Josh!!!). The obvious thing to say, is the power is brutal. In addition to the added thrust, I found the tune to be clean. I could push much harder around the corners due to the the response and precision in the throttle. Feathering the gas around a long sweeper, I experienced a far more immediate connection between the pedal and the motor. Finding the limit became easier as I was able to better control the power output. The delivery was silky smooth. I can't wait to feel it on a STG-2 car.

Great stuff! Shows just how beneficial it is to custom tune these cars for specific mods, weather, octane and driving styles

Ive been to EFI. Chris tuned my brothers EVO. He's VERY good dude.

I know he puts engine safety first, so for them to squeeze even more out of the "off the shelf" is impressive.

Good stuff EFI, ill be seeing you next month

Yes, it truly does make a big difference. It goes beyond just power gains as well. Drivability, responsiveness and peak power are all improved due to optimizing all of the calibrations that ultimately have an impact that you will notice.

Thank you very much! Yes, Chris is extremely talented at what he does. His tuning skills helped ensure the long and healthy life of my STi that I had.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Definitely! If you are driving in the cold weather all the time it makes perfect sense. You can leverage the cold air for your gain and ensure the ECM is being fed the most accurate data.

this may be asking a bit much, but do you have any logs? I'm curios as to how the stock FMIC handles IATs running making this much power.

this is great news for Cobb AP owners, nice work.

Could you guys create a single turbo map with these fully adjustable parameters?

HMMMM..... this is tempting... I may have to save some pennies. I'm on the other side of CT, but it sounds like the 90 mile drive would be worth it...

So if a custom tune is done, are the maps locked? I mean are they able to be loaded into the end user's ATR for tweaking? Just curious more than anything
