Carbon Airbox

I am no engineer, I have no degree. My background is automotive and I've been in dealerships since 2008.
Now that is out of the way . . . Months back I made a full carbon fiber airbox.

It started out as a template for a heat shield with intentions to run a cone filter, then it got out of hand from there.

Made a mold for a full airbox that includes the lower snorkel that connects to the factory one above radiator.

It came with it's struggles and personal mistakes, mold failures ect ect ect.

Version 1 turned out great considering it was a wet layup with a through vacuum bag style, more mistakes, forgot to round edges of molds and more issues.

V1 fitment is spot on to seal against hood, but V2 is under way to remove sharp bends and in theory allow for cleaner air . . . truthfully I'm redoing it because I can't stand the bends, how hard to layup and de-mold.

Honestly it's pretty sealed up down there, would be. A nightmare for someone in their garage to try and design that
