Recently I have noticed that my tire noise has increased a good amount. The tires are l Continental extreme contacts v2 and they have around 6000 miles on them. Replaced the front dampers and the hats for them as well during the summer before getting new tires. However, the noise has increased in the past month. I can hear more of the tires depending on the different pavement and can hear them change in frequency while the car starts to deacceralate or accelerate. The tire pressure is 33 front and 36 rear and tire heat doesn’t seem to effect it since I don’t notice any change in sound. Any ideas to help lower the NVH?

Do you any abnormal tire tread wear such as scalloping (raised tread wear). May only be visible on the inner tire tread.

Drop in temperature maybe be a factor. Summer tires get noisy in cold temps as the compound hardens.

Yup. Even my Pzero AS+ feel and sound like bricks once temperatures are near freezing.

Yeah you were right, had our mechanic ride in the car. From what he says the right front wheel bearing is starting to go. From the way it sounds, the bearing is not gone yet. (Haven’t had to crank the radio all the way up yet)

With the wheel bearing is there an upgrade or a better replacement than the OEM one?

Nothing significantly better than OE, no. I would go for a F.A.G bearing, personally.
