Stud conversion kit
Hey guys like the title says I want to buy a set. I wanna run 12mm and 15mm spacers as well so I believe I need a 90mm kit. I just don't know what brand to go with I don't want to spend more than $150 on the kit. I've seen some like Motorsport but I don't like them too much for some reason. I want your opinions on which ones would be good for just a DD I am not tracking the car Btw. Thanks in advance

I enjoy my Ecs kit, i take the wheels on and of so many times a week and they are a great upgrade to bolts.
Proper installation is very important. Squeaky clean oil free hub thread, Locktite And most important Wheel stud torqued to spec or they can fail. |

How did you clean yours? And how did you torque yours? Is there a special adapter I need to get or is it a tool in itself? I tried googling I and I keep getting these kits for bicycles

My apex kit has been great! Regardless, I would go with a reputable brand. Not something you want to cheap out on.
*edit, just saw you went with Apex. nice! great choice. I know you're supposed to change these every 2 years but they've been on for about 4 with no issue. knock on wood! |

I'm kinda new to this. Why would you need to convert your studs? To get some length to make up for the spacer?

Well most people do it because they track their cars and it's easier to take the wheels on and off. I personally did it because I liked the look over stud bolts and wanted to get some spacers so I thought I'd be the perfect time to knock both out. I also take my wheels off at least once a week and it was a pain in the ass to take off and mount the wheels every time. Hated lining up the holes and the bolts this is so much easier
