Hello everyone!
Just want to say hello and let everyone know that I have developed a valved exhuast for the E9x BMW 335i. The system is far less than any other valved system on the market and is the perfect upgrade for anyone who wants the flexibility of a valved system that wont break the bank. I have also made exhaust valve controllers that are the cheapest on the market allowing you to control your exhaust on the fly for less than 100$. It has been my dream to make stuff like this for enthuisasts and I welcome you to check it out.

Product 1: VALVED 335i Exhaust with controller 649$
https://valvetronic.com/products/bmw...muffler-bypass

Product 2:Exhaust flap controller 119$
https://valvetronic.com/products/bmw...lap-controller

Check it out here!: https://valvetronic.com/

Brilliantly simple utilizing the stock vacuum line and connection (all these years later, I didn't even know it was electronically actuated behind the driver's side tail light housing!). Looks like a great piece of kit!

OP couple questions:
1. Are you on any type of tune? It seems like the logic within MHD controls the factory valve differently compared to Cobb, etc. so results may very regarding how effective the sound mitigation is in relation to the stock tune/factory controller.

2. Does the valve default to open or closed when you first turn the car on?

3. Can you program the garage door buttons on the cars rear view mirror to open/close the valve instead of using the supplied fob?

4. How much louder is "quiet" mode when just cruising around given that the car now only has one muffler instead of two? In other words, how much louder is the car with the valve closed compared to the factory 2 muffler configuration?

To answer your questions,
1. These cars do NOT need a tune to benefit from this. This controller is just like the one for Porshce sports exhaust or the BMW performance exhaust for the M2. A quick touch of the button in the car opens the system up or closes it. With MHD or the JB4 they just force the flap open, and dont allow control of the system via a switch.

2. The valve defaults to OPEN when the car is off

3. Yes you can use the garage door clicker

4. The car is exactly the same loudness with the valve closed compared to stock

One more question; the car in this vid...what else is done to the exhaust? I'm assuming catless downpipes with stock E90 resonator and stock secondary cats?

EDIT: After paying closer attention, looks like x pipe and completely catless..??

I have an E90 and just trying to get a realistic idea of what the drivers-side muffler delete will sound like with catless DP and leaving the secondary cats and E90 resonator in place.

Sounds great. Surprising, no n54 sounds good.

Save $700 simply unplug vacuum line from the rear unit and keep both exhausts always open as it should be. Use $700 on other more useful performance mods.

Hey there,
In short the will still sound amazing. cartless dp are great for power and for sound and it will sound stock with the valve closed but when it is open it is about 25% louder than a 335is. Just a nice clean sound.

I hate that the tips stick out a mile past the bumper...not to mention that they're way too small.

Seems over priced for a couple of pipes and clamps.

Install and make a video on a car that's a little more similar to what most will have...most people don't run a straight through exhaust on their car.

Is your video an N54 or 55? Stock turbos?

Just wanted to chime in and say I installed one of these on my 2011 335i M Sport, and couldn't be happier. I had a BMW M Performance exhaust on before this, and while it sounded great, the drone was driving me nuts. This solution eliminates that.

It's like a Swiss Army knife.....loud and great sounding when I want to hear the exhaust, stock when I don't (cruising at low RPM's on the highway).

Install was a breeze, and the system is a great value for the quality and results you get.

Thanks to Austin and the Valvetronic team, I hope you guys keep doing your thing and expanding the line to future BMW's! Lord knows that F80 M3 could use some exhaust sound improvements

I did the PE mod to just my driver side to achieve this same level of adjust ability, my main complaint is that the flap in my exhaust doesn't close fully and still lets flow/sound by. So when its shut its still louder than I would like by a good margin.

Is the flap in your system normally open and you need to close it or normally closed(reverting to closed when the car is turned off) and you need to open it?

If I could do it again, i'd probably save the effort and just get this. Love the product.

If you set the flap to closed, will it automatically open at 3k RPM like stock?

I am also very interested in this product.

The controller overrides stock logic, its open or closed when you want it to be.

It's normally open, and you have to close it if you want the stock sound.

Hey Austin, love the exhaust but do the tailpipes need to stick out half foot past the diffuser? Would be nice if we had the option to add tips of our choice and 3.5-4" diameter similar to the Cobb VRSF design. Looking for that flushed barreled look. Would buy this in a heartbeat if that was the case.

Your M3 exhaust design appears to get it right.
