Any issues with the car droning at 4K rpm's? My cousin did this to his 328 sedan and got annoyed with it droning on the fwy.

Droning is always subjective. Some can handle it, some don't notice it, some hate it. I myself don't mind it and have been driving with it for over a year now.

Muffler delete is an annoying type of loud really. Makes it sound like a fart can. Something that isn't too loud is Remus, did a lot of looking before I found my powersound and i'm content with it. It isn't too loud or too quiet it's just right especially with a resonator delete. But I get some drone do to the resonator delete which I'm fine with. But I wouldn't recommend you delete your resonator since you said your gf won't be pleased but hey it's your car!!! hahah my gf thought it sounded a lot better then before though. And the longer you have the muffler, the louder it gets. So this will suit you but I suggest finding a used one since I don't think it's worth $900 but that's just me, i'm a stingy guy lol i got mine for 200 but if 900 is too much the cheap way out is muffler delete but I highly DO NOT recommend it. It WILL annoy you! If anything go with a Magnaflow.

To each his own I guess. I got my muffler deleted and ran another pipe to the passenger side as I wanted quads. I think it sounds amazing. It's not obnoxiously loud or raspy in any way. As long as you leave the resonator and cats in, it'll sound great. It's actually quite deep and has a very nice sound to it.
While in bumper to bumper traffic or somewhat packed street, I switched over to DS mode and leave it in 1st and take it all the way up to 4 or 5K and let go and all you hear is POPOPOPOPOP.
Love that pop/ gurgle. Music to my ears.

PE sounds amazing but comes with a nice price tag. I just used that money for m-tech bumper, quad diffuser, and tips.

Could not be happier with my decision.

I went to an ACE muffler shop a year ago and got one of their mufflers installed on my e90 328i for $200. It sounds pretty sweet and throaty in my opinion, not raspy. I could make a video and put it up if you'd like to hear how it sounds like. I just hope my camera can do the job lol

There are many videos on youtube.
Here's one that shows the difference between stock exhaust and performance exhaust:

Wow 328 exhaust stock sound CRAP (!)

330 and 130 stock exhausts are actually pretty meaty (mine gets compliments at least)

I got a muffler delete on my 328i for like $120. Its not bad i mean its not too loud im thinking about taking my res off too for more sound. But its worth a try..

Love my muffler delete when I really accelerate. It can get slightly annoying in bumper to bumper but it sounds amazing when you can open it up.

Random question, but is your bumper stock with a different diffuser? It doesn't look like M-tech or something similar to that.
Thanks

I tested out DS mode today while going to the grocery store. The gurgle and popping really shines after a muffler delete. Thanks for reminding me.
