Bright LED Fog Light Recommendations?

Hello ... I get annoyed that my fogs are halogen bulbs. They are H8's I believe.

Can anyone recommend any good "Bright" LED fog bulbs for it? On amazon i've checked and some people say the LEDs are less bright than the halogens were. So I basically want to at least match what my halogens do now.

I just installed the Morimoto 2stroke v2s. I'm pretty amazed at how bright they are.

Yup I have the old V1s and they are surprisingly bright. The V2s should be amazing. Pricey, but you get what you pay for!

I have HPB LED Fog lights, highly recommend. They are brighter then your standard HID too.

those are probably external drivers for the LED.

just secure them somewhere safe. Not a big deal for the fogs since it will all be protected by the fender liner.

Sorry to thread jack...
Thinking of picking these up along with your side markers. I'm satisfied with your AE LEDs bought about a year ago now.

What bulb type do I need for a 2010 335i E92 M-Tech/Sport(pre-LCI)?
What temp best matches the stock xenons?

they seem like a great option .. do you know how the 4500 lumen output actually compares in real life to the halogen?

I believe H11 but it's always best to doublecheck on the vehicle.

All the LED fog light kits are 6000K Color Temp.

The options include 4500 Lumen output or 6000 Lumen output.

It's about 4x brighter then a typical halogen ~1000 lumen.

These pictures kind of suck. Used my camera phone. These are Morimoto 2stroke v1s installed in the factory fog lights. The V2s are supposed to be even brighter. The phone camera messes with the colors a bit. They are not as yellow as they appear. They almost match my aftermarket angel eyes perfectly. I like to drive around town with just the angel eyes and fogs on, no amber side marker or headlights etc.

Angel eyes on, no fogs:

The aftermarket angel eyes are surprisingly bright. They are expensive but I believe in doing things right and doing them once. I vote the V2s or any others that are comparable.

LED run cooler. I've had the LED Fog for a couple years. I've had other LED stuff from HPB for many years, Front Turn Signal, Side Marker, Rear Turn Signal, Reverse Lights, Angel Eyes, Interior Kit, City Lights....

Is it just a plug and play? Any modifications to the enclosure?

I am sure you will not be disappointed. I bought the V1 and sat on them for like a year which is my own fault. I should have V2s but whatever. All significantly brighter than stock.

Watch this, you can see where my pictures you have some yellow but that is from my camera in the video all white light:

Significantly brighter according to their meter. Not as even light output but who cares, these are going in fog light housings than point at the ground.

What would be nice is some aftermarket fog light housings to send the light farther. But I don't see that happening on this platform.

I don't want to sound like a cry baby but please do not drive with your fog lights on if it is not foggy, as you will blind oncoming traffic. It is probably illegal where you live too.

?

They shine down on the street as shown in the pics and I am low. SUVs fog lights shine right in my rear window. I wish my fogs had more projection.

In my state you get pulled over if your headlights are not on while your windshield wipers are on.i do not think they care about fogs in Massachusetts.

I appreciate your concern.

Yeah, if your fog lights are blinding people, you're doing it wrong.
