Ediabas communication protocol
I am working my way towards an update of the DDE via ICOM. I have already updated my IHKA and PDC module via a K+DCAN cable and winpfk in comfort mode. That worked out well. Since the DDE, DSC, EPS and EKPS are the only ones on the most loop according to the visual overview in ISTA/D, I figured that I needed an ICOM A+B. I do have a proper 40 amps 13.8V stabilized power supply at hand. I have Easy Connect installed, though am not sure which communication protocol to use for the ones on the most and the others as well. For the CCC, MASK and MOST I read to use MOST_ASYNC or MOST_ASYNC_625. Though if I look at the modules in ISTA/D these are not the most loop. So, the essential questions that I have are:
* What should I use for updating all on the most ring; DDE, etc? (Most, Most ASYNC or Most ASYNC 625?) * What should I use for updating all the others on the K-CAN? (DIAGBUS, OBD_625 or a most variant?) * And since the CIC is on the K-CAN, do I still have to use MOST_ASYNC or MOST ASYNC 625 for this? I appreciate your help. Thanks. You are reading the diagram wrong. The DDE EKP etc etc are on the PT-CAN and can be flashed with a good quality DCAN cable and your stable power supply.
You can also use ICOM A or A2 or NEXT for this. Configure as: obd_625 The MOST (ICOM B) is 'media oriented'. The CCC etc is on this fibre optic loop. Async 625 is needed for this. |
