Ask and you shall receive

Front:
18x9" ET30 SM-10 Wheels in Race Silver
245/40-18 Continental ExtremeContact Sport Tires

Rear:
18x9.5" ET35 SM-10 in Race Silver
265/35-18 Continental ExtremeContact Sport Tires

Note: Rear inner fenders have been rolled by a body shop to provide more clearance for wider wheels and tires. Rears could use a 10mm spacer for a "flush" fitment.

Suspension:
Bilstein B16 PSS-10 Coilovers
E92 M3 Control Arms front and rear

Alignment is E92 M3 spec.
Front camber 1.2 degrees, rear camber 1.5 degrees.

Front camber pin had to be removed from front strut mounts to allow for that much camber.

Hey I have an LCI 335i and I just purchased 18x9.5 et35 Konig Ampliforms. I am on stock sport suspension dont plan on lowering anytime soon. I would like to run 265/35/18 Conti DWS or Yokahama Advan sport tires SQUARE. What would I need for the front to work? I know the rear would be fine. Spacers? Bumper modifaction?
Anyone run this on stock 09 lci suspension without issues?

Wrong thread for your post. But to answer your question, rears are fine and wouldn't require a fender roll, fronts would require a 10 or 12mm spacer to clear the strut. You might need to run some camber too, as that 9.5 wheel will be poking a little bit.

I would recommend rolling rear fenders and adding a small spacer, otherwise the fronts will be protruding much farther than the rears.

Garage List
Hello,

I am interested in EC-7 18" wheels in Anthracite. 8.5" in front and 9.5" in rear.

Probably run 235/40/18 in front and 265/30/18 in the rear.

I am very low on ST coilovers with no modification to fenders.

What offset should I order? Are there any promotions at the moment?

Thanks in advance,
Randy

Hmmm. Does that front fitment work w/o fender rolling, does it require more than -1d camber?

Randy,

Thank you for the message! We do have a huge selection of fitments for the E9x chassis. To help sort out what would work best for you, we have worked hard to design an entire fitment guide that details every fitment on offer for the 3 series chassis!

That guide can be found here:

E9x 3 series Fitment Guide

These guides will review every fitment we offer for this chassis, we would highly recommend taking a look at this guide as it should answer most, if not all of your questions.

We would recommend the following EC-7 fitment for your application:

Front: 18x8.5" ET35 - 235/40-18
Rear: 18x9.5" ET35 - 265/35-18

This will be a spacer free fitment for your E92 and will not require fender work of any kind, provided that you stick with the tire sizes we have recommended!

I hope this was helpful information. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

- Max

Great question!

The 18x9 ET30 up front can work without fender rolling, with a 235/40-18 tire. Camber is dependent on how low the car is, but we would recommend around -1.2 degrees to ensure proper fitment.

We also offer an 18x8.5 ET35 that will fit the same 235/40-18 tire without requiring so much negative camber!

I just checked out your guide and noticed that E92 LCI fitment is the same as pre-LCI? This is news to me! I thought all LCI vehicles suffered from the same 8mm loss in fender clearance.

That is correct! The E92/E93 remain unchanged for the LCI, in terms of fitments. The E90/E91 chassis are the ones that are affected by this 8mm loss!

I've been wheel shopping for months under the impression I had 8mm less to play with, this is blowing my mind.

What's the verdict on 18x10.5et40 rears on an E92 non-M? Are there inner clearance issues here? Assume 275/35/18 for tires.

I second this question as I'd like more sidewall also.

Has anyone ever run a 255/40/18 or 275/40/18 tire?
This is the normal wheel/tire size of a F80 M3!

This is a great question! The 40 series sidewall is a bit too tall and can cause issues with traction control, and the accuracy of your speedometer. Additionally, when the tire sidewall is too tall you do run the risk of scrubbing. We would recommend running the proper overall diameter on any BMW. This will always ensure that the car is performing as intended. I have listed our fitment recommendation below:

Front: 18x8.5" ET35 or ET38 with 235/40-18 tires
Rear: 18x9.5" ET35 with 265/35-18 tires
  • Popular fitment
  • 245/40-18 front tires can be used.
  • 275/35-18 rear tires may require rolled fenders and/or negative camber depending on ride height.
  • LCI sedan and wagon may require rolled rear fenders and/or negative camber to prevent rubbing. 255/35-18 rear tires may be used as a direct fit.

This is the normal wheel/tire size of a F80 M3!
As an extension of what was stated above, we would NOT recommend running these tire sizes, as they are outside of the proper overall diameter for the E9x chassis. Every BMW has a different threshold for the tire heights that will work. The F80x can house the sizes you have listed because the chassis is completely different than that of the E9x.

Fitting these sizes on the E9x chassis will result in quite a few issues, with rubbing being one of them. We always recommend fitting wheels and tires that maintain proper factory overall diameter. This means that a 40 series sidewall on the E9x chassis with an 18" wheel is too tall.

Quote:

For the F3x chassis, clearly this size can work but is not recommended. We have seen this done in the past and we are glad to see that is works on your F31! Just to reiterate the statement above, the F3x is a much bigger chassis than the E9x, and thus the fitments will be different.

This size is a bit taller than the factory overall diameter by 2.37%, we generally would not recommend exceeding the factory diameter by more than 3%. However, when the tire sidewall is too tall you do run the risk of scrubbing. This is most noticeable on the front end of the car as the wheel turn inside the wheel well.

I hope this was helpful information. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks!
- Max
