2008 LA Autoshow

So I went to the LA Autoshow during Media Press day couple of days ago.

Here are some highlights of the show for me...

A lot of new models was unveiled at the show..

370Z

Cube

2010 Mustang convertible

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder

Volkswagen Touareg V12 TDI Baja Racer

2009 Porsche Boxster

Honda FC Sport: Hydrogen Sports Car Concept Of The Future- Looks like Boba Fett's personal cruiser

During the unveiling of the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible, I spotted a familiar figure in a gray suit. This guy is Shiro Nakamura, the lead designer on the Nissan GT-R project. I was in awe and star-struck to see him there.

There were many other models that made their debut at the show but here are other stuff that caught my attention:

Mansory actually had a booth at the show. They brought 5 cars I think including their 599, couple of astons, bentley gt and this SLR.

If any of you get to see this car in person, check out the carbon fiber they used. It has the biggest twill weave I've seen, a lot bigger than the typical 2x2 twill.

Best collection of cars in a single Booth - RTW featuring many German Tuners including this dumped SL from Lorinser

Been drooling over this Z4 from StudieAG and finally got to see it in person

BRABUS ofcourse, the most solid collection from any aftermarket tuner.

Ferrari California, looks even better in the flesh

And finally got to see the Scion tC that I designed the body kit for..

The front end wasn't exact to my design due to deadlines etc but the rear end was completed.

Heh, so the Cube is actually coming to the US? I drove around in one for a week when I was visiting family in Japan a year ago. It's actually pretty damn roomy inside.
