OBD update and oil change?
I've mentioned in another thread that I think I've got a problem with the gear changes, slight hesitation and wobble from cold start and a throbbing/unevenness when on cruise
The car is booked in for the OBD update next week and I wondered with 3,000 miles left till an oil change if I should have that done at the same time? It's £187 for the oil change, or £59.95 for labour and £63.82 for 8 litres from Euro Car Parts I was thinking this route so they can at least check the faults log (as it's £29.95 + VAT for a local indy to check the faults for me, which seems like a false economy really) What are peoples thoughts? Your stealer will charge you about twice the Indy's price for a fault code check - daylight robbery for a 30 second plug-in IMHO...

Did you say £123 ish for 8 ltrs of oil from ECP? That cannot be right unless I'm missing something? I've just bought 8 ltrs of Castrol LL04 approved oil for £50 inc VAT and Delivery.. use promo code midmonth30

Had mine checked by a dealer - no fault codes, no issues - jog on. thanks!
I'd rather pay an indy to listen to you, check codes and possibly drive and diagnose an issue. Incidently, can a dealer or an indy tell you when a regen last took place when they hook up the diagnostics? |

Bit of a problem, I've realised that it's the third oil change, which means a much bigger bill (£307 not including the oil itself) that includes, micro filter, air intake and fuel filter change
What's the consensus here? Is it a must? |
