A [Built] story from going stock to rice to nice.

UPDATED PICS PAGE 1 and 2

Hello,

I ALWAYS wanted an e46 m3 (like everyone else) and my heart was set on an alpine white, with red interior. At this point they stopped production on the e46 m3 (I couldn't find the perfect one) and I heard great things about the 335i, being one of the next best tuner car. So I decided to test drive one, I didn't like it. It was a base model e92 with nothing in it. Then I drove the g37 coupe (Loaded) and believed it was a superior car, as I was about to make the move on the g37 my brother convinced me to give the 335i another try. So I went to the dealer and found a fully loaded one, and just sat in it. I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. The interior was so much more modern and classier, I went to sales rep and told him to find me the "right" one. We could not locate one. So I ended up ordering one from Germany, Alpine white with red interior . It was a 3 months wait and well worth it. They did not offer awd at the moment, but I am happy with rwd.

Sadly the pictures when I first bought the car are stored in a harddrive which I am too lazy to find. But the first mods I did was black out the front grill along with the bottom grill. I also bought an aero lip and add on CSL trunk.

Here is an awful picture

Then I bought 20" Iforged essens from a group buy on e90post. These wheels were very nice, but were too big. The bike in the picture is mine too.

One winter the front lip cracked.

The next day someone rear ended me.

His insurance paid for a new rear bumper. I went Mtech, and I decided to paint the roof black, also vinyled the bottom part of my aero lip too.

To be continued..... Ill post some more tomorrow.

You can never go wrong with an M Sport kit. Did you upgrade to LCI tail lights?

His insurance paid for a new rear bumper. I went Mtech, and I decided to paint the roof black, also vinyled the bottom part of my aero lip too.

BUT the body shop made a mistake and painted my diffuser white?

Of course I had them fix it. NO pictures tho...

At this point I had a JB3 tune, catless downpipes, intake and full exhaust. along with some other small mods.
THIS IS WHERE EVERYTHING STARTED GOING SOUTH. I started to rice out my car from here.... I found cheap rims online.

the rims on the rear

All my friend told me they were ugly. But I had to make them work. I just bought them...

So I painted them black. I did a proper job. Sanded, primed, painted, cleared.

Ugly... But better? LOL the stock rims looked better HAHA.

Next Big Mistake. I found an M3 CF hood for cheap.

I didnt fit right, it was advertised for 335i, but was M3 fitment.

In that picture you can see my other mistake...
I did something stupid.

E92's make 17 inch wheels look tiny.

Known fact.

Thats interesting that the body shop painted your diffusor white as well.... and thought that it looked right... haha.

The stupid thing is tinting your taillights? Or smashing through the back room of the furniture store?

I wish there was a banana for scale...

I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

and the front too

With the rice look, I needed the rice noise

But I did buy a cool vent gauge.

E-brake, shifter and pedals. Updated my tune to JB4 G5 if you are wondering.

I never put on 17" wheels. They were 18, but looked 17 lol.

I thought the diffuser looked interesting white, but didnt like it.

Please tell me you removed that HKS BOV, and all your mismatched carbon mixed with black nonsense.
How often do you get pulled over in that thing?

Removed head and tail light tints. Made the clear in the tail light RED. Painted the trunk!
Muffler back on after too many tickets.
And A roof spoiler, I forget when I put that one.
I was getting rid of the rice at this point.

New rims, and stock hood back on.

AND A NEW BUMPER!!!

Car looked completely different now. I got rid of the HKS BOV too, bought a Stett CP and Tial BOV

Bought some M5 wheels. Put one one, then stored it away for a while.

My friend took some pictures.

Haha.. we all learn from our mistakes. Those tinted tails though... yuck.
Are you going to keep the M5 wheels? If I were you, I'd pick up the new F30 335 wheels.. those wheels look amazing! They're stock too!

The "rice" stage seemed grim, but glad there was progression. Keep it up!
