Hub/Centring Rings
Hello,
I have a set of RTX Graz 18" wheels for my E92 that makes my wheel shake at higher speeds. The previous owner told me I might need to get some hub rings, and upon further investigation it seems that the wheel bore is 72.6, while the hub bore is 72.56. Is this enough to make a difference, and where would I even find rings that are that close in diameter? I know it's not my suspension because on my OEM wheels, there is 0 shake whatsoever at high speeds. Any help would be appreciated! |

Hubcentric rings are crap. I had aftermarket rims that had like a 0.something mm and it was a horrible drive on high and even moderate speeds.
I was afraid I would damage something so I immediately turned around and had them install my old rims. Not only that, but getting those rings on was so frustrating for the tyre shop too. They kept breaking every time they try to mount the rims. So imagine if you need to take off the rims for whatever reason; you will most likely need to replace every time. Best to get OEM rims. Skip the trouble. That's my opinion. |
