Wish I could attend that...
Love how arsenal came together, koscielny, szczesny, WILSHERE, walcott, all played brilliantly imo. Happy to see Song control himself in time to avoid the red. Few weak links from clichy and the defense, but overall i think we compensated well. So glad to see arshavin score, I truly hope he can only improve and earn a solid position on the team (not sure if he'll ever have the chance to consistently start again, but regardless). WTF at the end, WRONG GOAL!!! Well, now we've got 3 weeks to tune up our defense against barca (if such a thing is possible lol). Might be the most exciting time in the 2 years I've closely followed this team. |

It would still be classed as a shock if Arsenal beat Barcelona.
For all Arsenal are a great English team, I really don't see them anywhere near the class of Barcelona. However it's football and on the night, who knows? |

It was a great night, barca were very good but The Arsenal were not far behind and we won! Most people expect us to lose in the return leg but let's wait and see. We were the first English team to win in Madrid and the San Siro, we can dream.

Barcelona really are some team.
Curious to see how Arsenal go about the second half. They need to attack but first they have to get the ball and still try to stop Barcelona at the same time. Tough job. |

How the hell did they get the stat that Arsenal had 31% of the possession!
They must have only counted the time Arsenal were in their own penalty area. Men against Microbes I'm afraid.

Arsenal never had a single effort on goal or effort wide in the entire game.
Then after Barcelona being on a different planet and having lots of clear cut chances Bendtner was sent clear with a few minutes to go, I thought it was going to be one of those nights. I guess a few people will complain about the Van Persie sending off might have changed the game, but to be honest that's just papering over the cracks. This Barcelona team is right up there with the very best teams in history. |
