That was a great read, and all of the links are tear inducingly funny

A southern meet would be great! Some great roads across devon and cornwall

Could go on the moors after for some cottaging.

Sounds good! It really would be good to have a meet down this way

Would be wrong not to do a full tour of the more elicit recreational sites.

Come down just outside the silly season for some great driving, a few pasties, decent ale (after the driving) and some lovely coastline. I'll teach those that fancy it how to surf and the rest can just sit in a beachside put and get battered.

Sound good?

Happy to arrange it.
Go on then

Matt - not trying to start an argument but how on earth do you find so much time to post on forums and run a business?

Rich.

There is perhaps a theme here. It seems as though everyone without a 150 CDti astra was potentially a loser back in 2007, including VAG and BMW (presumably ES, SE and M Sport) drivers.

I have a 150 CDTI (actually a Fiat lump) at the minute, so glad I`m not a looser.

I'd be up for a Devon/Cornwall meet.

No cottaging or dogging mind.

I haven't read any of said link but forums would be VERY boring places if there was no heated (not normal) debate or e-fighting.

Jus' sayin

So which one of you halfwits is Mattssurfboard then?

No need for those comments. I can guess (and laugh at you calling my car with sunroof, leather, optional wheels, sports suspension and other goodies "poverty spec" - I'd call it "perfect spec" for me and many others) and if I'm right, I understand where the cowardly vitriol comes from. Number one being you can't surf because you are too fat to get in a wetsuit.

Now SW meet... Can do South Devon or North Cornwall.

That's got to be someone on here!

If you want to get a meet organised, suggest that you get one of the mods to create a sticky and a poll with dates - making sure that there's no clash with UK9. Feb is likely to be too soon, March tied up with the peak district.

There will be an announcement for the third South West Meet pretty soon, it's unlikely it will be that far down though. In recent years it has been Bristol and Cheltenham, which provides easy access for all via the motorways.

This might have to be an "offshoot" for anyone not too far away.

Having lived in Bristol for 8 years, I know the roads well - none are all that fun until you get to Wales.

Anyway if anyone is keen, do shout. I might try and get up to the next SW meeting if I can.

The first one in Bristol was more of a chat and some bacon butties, the Cheltenham one however, revealed some very interesting roads.

Indeed - that area has some cracking roads up there.

Advise driving over the old Severn Bridge then heading north up through Wales - the road is AMAZING!! I even enjoyed it in a rep van!

You should really stop biting every time anyone criticises you in any way.
