N54 DCT shifts itself to Park (P) position

Hi everybody,

My 335i N54 DCT has shifted itself a couple of times to parking (P) position. This has happened under the following circumstances:
  • When braking agressively to a red traffic light (from 2nd gear), it turns to P sometimes (happened twice so far).
  • When turning at low speed (i.e roundabout), it has happened that the selector tries to go to P.
Seems to be sth related to the parking lock, triggered by physics more than by mechanics or electronics.

Otherwise the transmission works fine, doesn't heat up, changes smoothly. I heard there are a couple of tests regarding the parking lock after changing oil/filters.

Did somebody experience something similar?
Thanks!!

When you open the door it should go to park.
Might be the door sensor, when this happened, did you maybe also see the door-open light?

Thanks for your response.

It didnīt show the door open warning any time. Also did not have door sensor related problems so maybe this is not the cause...

Seems to be solved by doing DCT fluid refill + filters.
