Switching iDrive screens

I have business CIC in my car and was wondering what I need for the professional screen, would all I need to do is fit the professional larger screen, then remove business CIC from VO and add professional CIC.

Or am I over simplifying it?

Wonder if it is that simple. I did think you had to potentially replace the main drive unit too.

Might be worth cross checking part numbers on realoem maybe on the drive units to see if they are the same.

You are.

It requires the professional headunit. Unlike the NBT.

Okay so just the headunit, screen and coding, then I'm good to go?

Yes thats correct. Though you'll lose all your activations.

You'd need an emulator or make sure your new CIC is on latest software then patch it.

Sorry if it’s a silly question but what the activations?
