Gathering interest on who would want to go in for a group buy on e90 CSL trunks from ECS
I need to know how many people and either pre-lci or lci https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...007ecs05a~ecs/ It would be for this trunk with carbon fiber spoiler, not the full carbon fiber one as it is more expensive I'll send the list after it looks like everyone who is interested has chimed in. Once ECS responds with a price, we will see who is in and who is out for sure, including myself Comment below and ill add you to the list and please specify if you want pre-lci or lci, thanks PRE - LCI 1. 330xtrai 2. JeremyaahJ 12. cartuned 13. modestmoose 14. jtt328 15. matthewjmoser 16. dustindtm List has been sent, awaiting response from Matt @ ECS! ************RESPONSE UPDATE************* Just got a response. "After speaking with the higher ups they informed me we do not normally participate in group buys. That being said, we could discount them for a bulk order. the main issue is you would have to order them all at once and have them shipped to you then distribute them yourself. If you order at least 5 they would drop to $450 each. unfortunately this is all we can offer as we keep these at low prices with free shipping already." -Matt So what this means is that they have to be placed as a SINGLE huge order at 450 each. and then there will be free shipping, however they will all be shipped to the one person that places the order. There is still shipping needed to be covered in order to then ship them off to everyone else who bought one. Not only would these have to be shipped twice, but they risk damage twice and can potentially result in a greater cost, depending on what kind of shipping is used, than buying straight off ECS without group buy. This sort of group buy would only benefit a local area group buy. Honestly expected better for the amount of interest gathered. I can try negotiating with him, but I doubt it can change anything as it appears a group buy doesn't really interest ECS. What are your guys thoughts? I wasn't impressed with ecs m3 side skirt fitment. If I could do it again, I would just get the ebay version and save some cash.

yeah that sounds like another option as well. I personally have never bought from ECS, ive only read the the reviews about the trunk and they seem to all have no big issues on fitment. But definitely update us with the response from LTMW! using the list on this thread im sure people wouldn't mind another option to hear!

Any else notice the damaged weave on the lip in the second picture? They posted a picture so I'm guessing the whole batch is like that. I would definetly be in as long as they aren't damaged like that. Can someone please confirm this.

Ok good news! Duke Dynamics is offering 30% off their trunk cost AND shipping. For me the frp shipped would be $920 with 30% off to be $644. We need 10 buyers, any model, prelci or lci and frp or cf. From my personal research, DD has top quality fitment and high-kick on their trunks. Pics and pricing on vehicles below.
http://www.bimmerkit.com/3-series/e9...csl-trunk.html Group buy includes e92 as well! Last edited by ssdara; 03-17-2017 at 11:42 PM.. |

I've read from forum reviews that it indeed is a pretty "high kick" if that's what you're looking for then I'm almost certain you will be satisfied with it

I can include you in and clarify to them as being e92 and see what he says about it. Wouldn't hurt to try! Just let me know prelci or Lci?

Actually just found something, the defect is talked about starting post #20. since it is still the same picture even after this sale they had, I dont think theres anything to worry about, just the price we get in response! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...unk+ecs+defect |
