Hi guys i have 335d it goes into limp mode only at full throttle hiting 120mph i turn the car off and on and it has power again

Did anyone else had this issue?

is it remapped,if so get it checked,mine did same after 125 mph,altho a 640d,changed boost sensor and pressure converters,as we thought it was that after diags on ista,i dismissed the map,thats how we missed it,my fault as bmw indy i used suggested it was map related .

Yes it its mapped and after like few weeks i gutted the dpf .

I got a permanent fault - exhaust gas cooling switching valve open circuit.

Fault been removed . Car was running fine for few days and again same problem

I have replaced all vacum lines.

Please help😞

Might help might not.

Mines a 325d N57 engine remapped

Popped up with reduced engine power after similar speeds

Cleaned intake and removed swirl flaps at same time (not sure which of these helped)

But doesn’t do it any more….

Wasn’t much carbon build up at all though tbh

Maybe pop the MAP sensor out and see if it’s carboned up?!

Did you remap it then gut the DPF or gut it then remap after??

Exactly what I was thinking, if you had it mapped, then gutted the DPF afterwards without having it remapped to suit, then this is your problem.

The map was done first and after few weeks i gutted the dpf and they pogram it out lf ecu.

But i will try to remove the swirl flaps and give the intake a clean

Check the EGR valve moves freely. I was getting limp mode as the valve was very sticky.

Hi guys basically i deleted all the codes i had with bimmerlink

And i went into limp mode at 120mph

And scanned for codes again and what i got is

Rasa i will try it on next Friday i will check wastgate if that will not help i will remove the map .

But apparently 428b code is for wastegate

I will give a update on next Friday

Check your big turbo VNT ,might not be only wastegate related , put your actual vs expected boost pressure value.
