Vibration on hard stop at lights / jerking / knocking

Hi,

need help with diagnosing this.

Car is '07 330xD e92, automatic. Mileage 240k km.
Gearbox oil changed 20k km ago, transfer case oil changed 20k km ago. No issues until now. No drivetrain related errors in scanner.

Recently car started to:
- vibrate immediately after hard stop at lights with occasional jerk forward
- jerk while breaking and immediately pressing accelerator
- roughly shift in 1st 2nd 3rd gear with occasional audible knock
- knocking while in gear and pressing accelerator and depressing

Replaced / checked so far:
- 2x rear shaft giubo / flex joint, center support bearing, rear shaft in good condition - slight improvement
- verified transfer case rubber mount / support, good condition
- front shaft is an unknown

I realize this kind of issue has been beaten to death but I'm split between transmission, torque converter, xdrive or other problem and trying to pinpoint what's going on.

I would say it is certainly not xdrive nor driveshafts. My bet is on torque converter but might also be transmission. High 3.0d torque + xdrive = short transmission life. My transmission needed a rebuild at exactly 240k km.

Thanks for reply, or might be both. What kind of work was done for transmission rebuild? Solenoids?

Today I've performed transmission adaptation values reset. I've noticed almost immediate improvement in 1-2-3 gear changes and slight improvement with vibration on stop lights and 2-3-2 jerks are gone - for now.

The intermediate knock is still there - might be engine mounts or sth else.

Additional symptom is transmission taking it's sweet time to switch in reverse after cold start.

I'll test more but it seems indeed transmission is going bad.

Current adaptation values 250km since reset:

Clutch A fill pressure 680.00
Clutch B fill pressure 10.00
Clutch C fill pressure 7.00
Clutch D fill pressure 60.00
Clutch E fill pressure 150.00

Clutch A fill time 0.00
Clutch B fill time 16.00
Clutch C fill time 5.00
Clutch D fill time 0.00
Clutch E fill time 0.00

The rebuild was done by previous owner so I can't tell, surely some clutch packs were replaced + converter regenerated.

As for your pressures I am not sure but I guess all should be below 300.
680 on clutch A seems like a problem to me.

Thanks, looking at ZF manual clutch A is engaged for gears 1,2 and 3 and per some xHP post values should be between +-300 - makes sense.
