We chatted awhile back. I'm glad to see that your car is cetting close. My GF's 325i was picked up last sat 4/29. It took exactly 7 weeks from order to drive off. Family and baby are doing fine...

Congratulations.
Mine is in on the 17th of May. I'm having it held for two weeks to lessen the impact of two car lease payments at the same time. It's going to drive me CRAZY not getting the new car right away.

Hi:

No, tomorrow it is supposed to arrive outside the canal and it has a slot on Sunday to go through.

So, if any delay due to weather will delay its entry into the canal.

I've been looking for the Cassiopeia Leader since it left 3 days before our ship, but can't find it. If it was late, I wonder if ours is going to be late, too.

I'll let you know what I find on Sat and Sunday.

Would it be possible to call NYK to find out if the Cassiopeia or Jupiter Diamond is still on schedule to dock? I mean, if they are delay by weather, NYK should have that info right? Freaking NYK..makes tracking so damn difficult...maybe they should be the one in charge of homeland security..

I only called NYK earlier this week. So, let's give them some time. Besides, they're closed until Monday now.

We should be through the canal by Sunday night.

HOT NEWS FOR JUPITER DIAMOND FANS:

Here's the Satellite Map showing the JUPITER DIAMOND waiting at the outside of the Panama Canal. It is towards the left hand upper side of the map.

It goes through tomorrow.

Unfortunately, I'll be out most of the day. But, I'll try to follow it if I can.

Just found out that my baby is on the Ryujin - due in Pt. Hueneme on May 29. Who else is with me? I'm going to need a support group to get me through this next month!

Also, if anyone here is able to track the Ryujin at all, let me know!

Satellite map? Hard to imagine that the vessels only come in one shape, 3 colors, and have to have big banners with their names on them.

Actually, I cheated. I called NYK directly and asked them to tell me the estimated arrival date at the Canal and what day it was scheduled to transit.

If you know the ship, that's all that's required.

And, if we don't abuse the calling, NYK will continue to tell us.

So, if anyone calls in the future, do everyone a favor and POST the info here so NYK doesn't get mad and refuse future calls.

They are very nice so far.

As of 1 hour ago (delay in satellite info), the JUPITER DIAMOND was out of the Gatun Locks and heading for the Miraflores Locks.

Here's the sat map.

It's getting closer to the Pacific and should be out of the canal by afternoon.

I am off for the rest of the afternoon. If I return in time, I'll try to get a sat map image of it having left the Canal and proceeding in the Pacific.

Congratulations to all of us.
